Do you want to be a Hero?
I love movies.? I not only enjoy the spectacle, the humor, drama and music, I find it satisfying to absorb the moral of the story through the comfort of a cushy seat in an air conditioned theater.
Films, such as sports, give you the opportunity to root, root, root for the home team, without risking your own neck. And that's a good thing, especially for me. If my exploits were the subject of a film, I can say certainly, there would be no continuation. I doubt I would defuse the bomb in time, would be the Red Queen have my head and I would be reluctant to jump into the bubbling hot tub and short circuit the Time Machine.
I was rooting under the dog in Chicago Cubs (big fan), I never reluctant hero occasions up to the current movie themes tires, save the day. I also use moral, or a main movie, as my life guide. The great ship became my creed.
For example, I saw the film, Alice in Wonderland. There is a line of dialogue,
I probably could have shaved years off completing these goals if I had put 100% of my passion and determination into it, but I got a little sloppy. After all, there are so many things one has to do in a day and it is easy to become distracted.? But the one thing I do have is persistence.? Some would describe it as “bull-headed or stubborn” but I’m taking the high road here.
But I do not see a lot of achievement that I look, the one component that is always there – is a burning determination to succeed. These are tasks that I am not going to do. That is regardless of my decision, it shall be accomplished is more than choice of words, it is an emotional decision sparks a passion in my gut – to write such a mind is a good way.
In addition to movies, inspiring books have the same effect on me.? They are a motivating tool.? It’s like putting high octane fuel in my tank.? The thing is, we have lots of choices we can make every day.? We can choose to read, hear and listen to things that can inspire us, or we can surround ourselves with sadness and sorrow.? There are plenty of examples of both in the world.
That is not to say that we should bury our head in the sand when something disturbing occurs.? We can whine and bemoan the situation, or we can determine to face our difficulties head-on with a gut-busting determination to win.
I have a radio program recently, and embrace the importance of erasing the negative talk optimism. One of the problems is, "This is not an optimistic negative way?" I get this question a lot. My answer is: "is optimistic about the ways of success and the eyes of the situation."
So my suggestion is to wake up in the morning, spend some time to think about something you are grateful, and then make a firm determination to complete three, four, five, but impossible to accomplish much. You can have your spark from an optimistic person conversation, reading a motivational book, and even inspiring to see a movie. In the final analysis, the most important thing to remember is that you are a writing script, your life, you have the power to make it a tragedy, farce, comedy or a victory.
Now go listen to the theme from Rocky and accomplish something great.
